May 27, 2005 President Jischke to talk about Purdue budget on radio programWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Purdue President Martin C. Jischke on Wednesday (June 1) will talk about the state budget and how it affects the university's funding and costs during WBAA's live call-in radio program. From 2-3 p.m. during the station's "AM920 Magazine," Jischke will field questions from WBAA station manager Dan Skinner and the listening audience. "State budgetary constraints inevitably have an effect on public universities," Skinner said. "Purdue is in the midst of examining alternate revenue streams to maintain its campus as home to a preeminent university." Local listeners can call (765) 496-1999. Listeners outside the local calling area can call toll-free at (866) 922-2101. Jischke discusses a different topic on each program, which airs the first Wednesday of each month. Skinner said recent interviews with the president have focused on the Campaign for Purdue, campus security and diversity.
