Broadcast lays out strategic plan for Indiana agriculture

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Officials from Indiana's new Department of Agriculture will unveil a plan to expand the state's agricultural industry during a statewide broadcast sponsored by the Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service.

Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman and Indiana Department of Agriculture director Andy Miller will present "Possibilities Unbound: The Plan for 2025," from 7-8:30 p.m. EST Tuesday (May 17) in Stewart Center, Room 307, on Purdue's West Lafayette campus. Hoosiers can watch the presentation live at Purdue, at 14 broadcast sites across Indiana or online.

The broadcast is part of a four-day statewide tour by Skillman and Miller to introduce a strategic plan for Indiana agriculture. The plan encompasses crop and livestock production, value-added enterprises, biofuels, and marketing, among other areas.

In addition to providing details about the strategic plan, Skillman and Miller will take questions from broadcast viewers.

Purdue's Stewart Center is located at the northeast corner of State and Marsteller streets in West Lafayette.
