February 14, 2003 'Good Morning America' news anchor Robin Roberts to speak at PurdueWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. "Good Morning America" news anchor and ESPN correspondent Robin Roberts will speak at Purdue University's Mackey Arena at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 9. Roberts' appearance is the inaugural lecture in the Delta Gamma Foundation Lectureship in Values and Ethics. Tickets are not required, and admission is free. For more information call (765) 494-9712. Roberts has been a contributor to "Good Morning America" since 1995 and has worked in broadcasting for more than 20 years. While her time has been split between duties at ESPN and ABC News, the majority of her work since 2001 has been with ABC's "Good Morning America" and the news division. She anchors the regular hourly newscasts for "Good Morning America" from its home base in New York's Times Square. Roberts also serves as an ABC News correspondent and appears as a substitute co-anchor. She also contributes to other ABC News programs, including "World News Tonight," "20/20" and as an occasional host of the ABC series "Vanished." Roberts' talk is being presented with support from the Flora F. Roberts Bequest, the Bob Mitchell Inspirational Lectures Fund, Purdue Convocations, Purdue Athletics, Office of the Dean of Students and the Purdue Alumni Association.
