Purdue Varsity Glee Club to perform in Washington, D.C.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue Varsity Glee Club will perform in honor of the 55th presidential inauguration at the Indiana Society of Washington D.C.'s Centennial Inaugural Ball on Wednesday (Jan. 19).

The performance will be at the Omni Shoreham Regency Ballroom, 2500 Calvert St., N.W., Washington, D.C. Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman and Indiana's congressional delegation will be in attendance. George W. Bush, who will be inaugurated as president on Thursday (Jan. 20), has been invited.

The Glee Club will travel to the nation's capital by bus and will be there from Jan. 18-22. Appearances throughout the week include performances at the grounds of the Capitol, at Fairhaven Retirement Community and at Walter Reed Army Hospital.

Anyone wishing to attend the 6 p.m. (EST) inaugural ball event can purchase tickets at $300 each or $6,000 for a table of 10. For more information, call the Inaugural Ball hotline at (202) 508-3445 or go online.
