November 22, 2004 President Jischke to talk about state funding on WBAA radio showWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Purdue University President Martin C. Jischke on Wednesday (Dec. 1) will talk about state funding for higher education on WBAA's live call-in radio show. From 2-3 p.m. during the station's "AM920 Magazine" Jischke will field questions from WBAA station manager Dan Skinner and the listening audience. "Listeners are encouraged to call in with questions and concerns," Skinner said. "This is their opportunity to talk with the president directly about their interest in state funding at Purdue, which is critical to the university's strategic plan." Local listeners can call (765) 496-1999. Listeners outside the local calling area can call toll-free at (866) 922-2101. Jischke discusses different topics on every show, which airs the first Wednesday of each month through June. Skinner said past interviews with the president included a focus on diversity, athletics, marketing, teaching, engagement and funding sources. WBAA's AM signal reaches approximately two-thirds of Indiana and can be heard globally via the station's Web site.
