November 9, 2004 Carnegie Mellon professor will discuss effective e-mail advertisingWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. An e-business professor from Carnegie Mellon University will discuss his research on the effectiveness of personalizing e-mail advertising as part of the Krannert School of Management's MIS Distinguished Speakers Series. Tridas Mukhopadhyay, Deloitte Consulting Professor of e-Business at the Tepper School of Business, will present "Business Value of Personalization: An Empirical Investigation" from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Friday (Nov. 12) in the Krannert Center, Room 108. The talk is free and open to the public. Mukhopadhyay's research shows that personalized e-mails are an effective tool to reach audiences in business-to-business and business-to-consumer e-commerce.
