July 15, 2004 Advance tickets available for Purdue Convocations’ 2004-05 seasonWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue Convocations is accepting advance ticket orders through July 30 for all events in its 2004-05 season. An order form is available on the Convocations web site or by calling the box office at (765) 494-3933. The upcoming season includes 30 shows, four of which have two performances, as well as six series and five special events. The series are the Jazz Set, Center Stage, Classics, Family Adventures, Music and Motion, and Lively Arts. "This season represents a variety of genres, appealing to a diverse audience," said Todd Wetzel, director of Purdue Convocations. "I'm excited to have multiple blockbuster titles in our Lively Arts Series and special events. Several of the shows offer more than one performance." Advance single-ticket requests are filled in the order they are received and are processed before tickets are available at the window or through TicketMaster. Tickets will be mailed to patrons along with information about opportunities to interact with artists, directions, parking and ticket policies. Katie Hutton, director of marketing for Purdue Convocations, said, "Buying tickets now allows patrons to plan a whole season of exciting events and take advantage of package discounts. However advance sales are not limited to packages. Single tickets are available now as well." General public season ticket prices range from $55 for the Family Adventure Series to $192 for the full Lively Arts Series. Student and child series ticket prices range from $37 for the Family Adventure Series to $132 for the full Lively Arts Series. Discounted prices on series subscriptions are available to Purdue students and retirees and senior citizens. General public single-ticket prices range from $10 to $45. Discounts on single tickets are available to Purdue students and children. Series ticket buyers receive the greatest per-show discounts. Discounts also are available to those buying a Pick 5 package (tickets to five or more shows).
