July 14, 2004 Purdue to sponsor conference on biotech and nanotechWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Purdue University is sponsoring a one-day conference on biotechnology and nanotechnology on Monday (July 26). The conference, Linking Bio and Nano, takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Stewart Center, Room 206. There also will be a poster display in Stewart Center, Room 214, depicting current biotechnology and nanotechnology research. The conference is free and open to the public. Speakers from Purdue, Northwestern and the University of Illinois will discuss current biotechnology and nanotechnology issues, including research topics and opportunities, and ways for universities to work together in these areas. There also will be an opportunity to meet and network with other researchers and professionals. The conference is sponsored by Purdue's Bindley Bioscience Center, Birck Nanotechnology Center, the Network for Computational Nanotechnology, which is funded by the National Science Foundation, and the Institute for Nanoelectronics and Computing, which is funded by NASA.
