June 8, 2004 5 executive vice president and treasurer candidates to speak at forumsWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Five finalists have been chosen in the search to succeed Kenneth P. Burns, who is retiring as executive vice president and treasurer as of Aug. 31. Each candidate will speak at separate forums this month and next, and will meet with President Martin C. Jischke and other Purdue representatives. All faculty and staff are invited to attend the one-hour forums with the approval of their supervisors. The candidates and their forums, listed in order of their appearances at the West Lafayette campus, are: James Almond, Purdue vice president for business services and assistant treasurer since 1998, who has been at Purdue since 1988. Almond's forum will be 3-4 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, in Stewart Center, Room 310. V. Scott Cole, deputy executive vice president for university services at Arizona State University, Tempe, Ariz. He has served in his current position since 2000. He will speak 3-4 p.m. Thursday, June 24, in Rawls Hall, Room 1086. Gerry Bomotti, who has been vice president for administrative services at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colo., since 1993. His forum is 4-5 p.m. Thursday, July 1, in Stewart Center, Room 310. Morgan Olsen, vice president for business and finance at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He has worked in his current position since 1999. He will make his presentation 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, in Stewart Center, Room 322. Anthony Ferrara, vice president for administration at Binghamton University, Binghamton, N.Y., since 2001. His forum is 3-4 p.m. Thursday, July 15, in Rawls Hall, Room 1086.
