Society of Women Engineers presents scholarships
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Society of Women Engineers recently held its 30th annual job fair and awards program. More than 100 merit-based scholarships and awards totaling approximately $52,000 were given to women currently studying engineering at Purdue.
More than 45 corporations, organizations and alumnae sponsored these awards. Purdue currently has 1,580 women enrolled in engineering, which represents 18 percent of all engineering students.
Purdue's Schools of Engineering have granted more undergraduate degrees to women than any other engineering school in the nation.
