Appointments and promotions

The Purdue University Police Department has promoted Matt J. Rosenbarger and M. Ryan Needham to the rank of patrol sergeant. Rosenbarger joined the department in 2001 after serving with the Benton County Sheriff's Department, and Needham came to the department in 2002 from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department. Both previously served as patrol officers.

Lesley D. Bryan has been promoted to sergeant of community policing for the Purdue University Police Department. Bryan joined the department in 1999 and previously served as a patrol officer and a patrol sergeant.

Lisa M. Boffen Yordanov has been appointed the new director of development for International Programs and Graduate School. Boffen was previously employed at Trinity College, Washington, D.C., as director of the annual fund and associate director of alumnae affairs.

Campus activities

Student registration for the 2004 summer session and fall semester will begin Monday, March 8. Students should make an appointment with their academic adviser unless their school provides special instructions for registration. Summer session module 1 begins May 17; fall semester begins Aug. 23.

Faculty and staff honors

Karl Kwan, an associate professor of educational studies, has been appointed the new international forum editor of The Counseling Psychologist. The journal is published six times a year by the American Psychological Association's Division 17, a group that focuses on counseling psychology.
