February 13, 2004 Police seek vehicle involved in hit-and-run accidentWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University police are seeking help to locate a vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run accident Thursday (2/12) in a parking lot near the Mollenkopf Athletic Center. John K. Cox, Purdue captain of special services, said that shortly before 2 p.m. the owner of a tan 1993 Mercury Sable told police her car was hit in a parking lot. The owner said the car had been parked in a lot just north of Mollenkopf from 8:30 a.m. until about 1:40 p.m., when she returned and discovered the car had been hit. Cox said the parked car's left front fender was severely damaged. No information about the vehicle responsible for the accident was available. Cox said anyone who may have seen the accident should contact the Purdue University Police Department at (765) 494-8221. Source: John K.
