January 27, 2004 Lonestar to perform at Purdue on March 6WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Lonestar and special guest Jimmy Wayne will perform in the Elliott Hall of music at 7:30 p.m. on March 6. Presented by Purdue Convocations, Lonestar will showcase its music in an acoustic performance. The show will feature music spanning the group's career including, "I'm Already There," "No News," "Amazed," "My Front Porch Looking In," the recent hit "Walking In Memphis," as well as other songs. Last year Lonestar released "Greatest Hits - From There to Here." The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard Top Country Albums charts and has sold nearly a million copies, bringing the band's career sales to more than 8 million. In the upcoming Grammy Awards, Lonestar has been nominated in the best country performance by a duo or group category. Opening for Lonestar is DreamWorks recording artist, Jimmy Wayne. The first single from his self-titled debut album, "Stay Gone," was a Top 5 hit. The new single, "I Love You This Much," is climbing the charts. Tickets are $25 for students and $33 for general public. Ticket price includes a $1 service fee.
