Purdue president to speak about athletics on WBAA radio show

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue athletics and the role they play in creating a preeminent university will be the focal point of university President Martin C. Jischke's live radio appearance Wednesday (1/7) on WBAA-AM920.

During the station's "AM920 Magazine" from 2-3 p.m., Jischke will field questions from WBAA manager Dan Skinner and the listening audience about intercollegiate athletics and recreational and intramural sports.

"President Jischke will explain the place that intercollegiate athletics and recreational or intramural sports each play in the university overall," Skinner says. "He will also discuss the popularity of athletic programs among alumni, Purdue families and people in the community."

The station's AM signal reaches about two-thirds of Indiana and is heard globally via the Internet.
