Purdue Extension organizations elect officers

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service associations and an honorary fraternity installed new officers during the annual Purdue Extension conference Nov. 14-16 . The organizations and their officers are:

• Indiana Extension Educators Association – Mike Ferree, Henry County, Extension director, president; Jeff Holland, Monroe County, youth educator, vice president; Bill Rice, Hamilton County, agriculture and natural resources educator, treasurer; Janet Allen, Shelby County, 4-H youth educator, secretary ; and Carol Turner, Vigo County, consumer and family sciences educator, past president.

Officers of associations within IEEA are:

• Consumer and Family Sciences Association – Lori Bouslog, Sullivan County, consumer and family sciences educator, president; Terri Newcom, Tipton County, consumer and family sciences educator, vice president; Jackie Bouman, Putnam County, consumer and family sciences educator, secretary.

• 4-H Youth Association – Kelly Pearson, Warren County, Extension director, president; Kendall Martin, Dubois County, 4-H youth educator, vice president; Holly Butler, 4-H youth educator, Marion County, secretary; and Stan Knafel, Elkhart County, 4-H youth educator, past president.

• Agricultural and Natural Resources Association – James Peter, Dubois County, Extension director, president; Craig Williams, Cass County, Extension director, vice president; and Bill Horan, Wells County, agricultural and natural resources educator, secretary.

• Leadership and Community Development Association - Dick Reel, LaPorte County, Extension director, president; Phil Gordon, Elkhart County, Extension director, vice-president; and Michael Reetz, Pulaski County, leadership and community development educator, secretary.

The new officers of Epsilon Sigma Phi, the Indiana chapter of the national honorary Extension fraternity, are: Glenna Hanks Wade, Lake County, consumer and family sciences educator, president; Janet Gorden, interim 4-H youth department head, vice president; Beverly Morgan, Huntington County, consumer and family sciences educator, treasurer; Emily Remster, Porter County, consumer and family sciences educator, secretary; Mark Merkel, Adams County, Extension director, past president; and Floyd Branson, assistant director of Purdue Extension, annalist.

The new officers of the Purdue Cooperative Extension Specialists Association are: Natalie Carroll, 4-H youth specialist, president; Case Medlin, specialist in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology, president-elect; Alan Miller, specialist in the Department of Agricultural Economics, treasurer; Aadron Rausch, specialist in the Department of Consumer and Family Sciences, secretary; and Tom Jordan, agricultural and natural resources program leader, past president.
