JOURNALISTS: Here are story ideas and a list of selected Purdue events during the next two weeks.

Purdue Memorial Union hauls out the holly

The Purdue Student Union Board begins "2000 Holidays at the Union," Nov. 30 - Dec. 15 in the Purdue Memorial Union.

The state's largest indoor natural Christmas tree will be set up in the Great Hall at approximately noon Thursday (11/30). Decorating will be completed Dec. 1.

The annual "Breakfast with Santa" will be 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, in the La Posada dining area. Sounds of the season concerts featuring local artists will be presented daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Great Hall. Groups will hand out free food samples and set up booths to inform people about holiday celebrations around the world from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6.

All events are free and open to the public.
