October 27, 2000 Purdue, IU sponsoring Multicultural Job FairWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Recent and soon-to-be college graduates are encouraged to register for the Ninth Annual Indiana Multicultural Job Fair on Nov. 10 at the Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis. The fair promotes job opportunities for historically underrepresented groups in the workforce, said James Megathlin, assistant director for Purdue University's Center for Career Opportunities. It allows employers to meet with a diverse pool of candidates and discuss employment opportunities in a professional setting. The Indiana Multicultural Job Fair is co-sponsored by Purdue and Indiana universities. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the convention center's Sagamore Ballroom, which is located next to the RCA Dome in downtown Indianapolis. Registration the day of the event is $10.
