Lt. Gov. to visit Purdue's High-Tech Job Fair

Indiana Lt. Gov. Joe Kernan will visit Purdue University's West Lafayette campus Wednesday (10/25) to talk with high-tech employers prior to the "High-Tech Job Fair for Indiana Companies."

Kernan will address the employer information session at 9:30 a.m. in Stewart Center, Room 214. Journalists are invited to attend and will have the opportunity to conduct one-on-one interviews with Kernan following his brief talk.

The "High-Tech Job Fair for Indiana Companies" is an event in which Purdue's Technical Assistance Program (TAP) plays matchmaker between students and Indiana business. The fair informs Purdue students about what high-tech careers are available in the state. The fair will be from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Purdue Memorial Union Ballrooms.

Employer interest in this year’s job fair is greater than ever, with many new information technology firms registered. TAP Director Dave McKinnis said these firms will be recruiting for more than 600 high-tech positions.
