Got calcium?

Camp Calcium, a research study on the impact of diet on bone health, will resume July 16 and run through Aug. 5 on the West Lafayette campus. This is the second of two three-week sessions in which a group of female campers ages 11 to 13 are monitored for the effects of a specially formulated diet that includes calcium-rich food and excludes junk food.

During the study, the youngsters will enjoy a full range of summer camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, movies and games. Camp Calcium is part of ongoing research into methods for preventing osteoporosis. CONTACT: Connie Weaver, (765) 494-8237.
