Information on Purdue's new president available via the Web

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – A complete, multi-media package of information on Purdue University's new president will be available on the Web tomorrow (Tuesday, 5/23). The university will introduce its 10th president at a news conference Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Loeb Playhouse, Stewart Center, on the West Lafayette campus.

WBAA-AM 920 listeners will be among the first to meet the new president. The radio station will broadcast the news conference live and provide streaming audio via the Internet at the WBAA Web site.

Any computer equipped with a modem, recent version of a Web browser and Windows Media Player will be able to receive the live streaming audio. The latest version of Windows Media Player is downloadable.

Quicktime video, photographs and news releases on the new president, retiring President Steven C. Beering's years in office, the history of the university and more will be available on the web following the news conference.
