New or updated listings have two asterisks (**). All events in this calendar, plus many others, are listed in Purdue's online calendar. Updated travel directions around road construction zones near campus are available on the Web. EVENTS • Monday, April 10. Women in Engineering Career Day. This daylong event, sponsored by Purdue's Schools of Engineering and the Society of Women Engineers, is open to all young woman in their junior year of high school, as well as their parents and teachers. ** • Tuesday, April 11. 21st Century Grand Prix Convocation. 6:30 p.m. Mackey Arena. Information session featuring officers from local and state law enforcement agencies to raise awareness of alcohol and drug abuse. • Thursday, April 13. University Day. A campus cleanup day sponsored by Purdue Student Government. Students, faculty and staff volunteer an hour between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. by reporting to booths located around campus including the Memorial Mall, Hicks Library, Agriculture Administration, Lynn Hall, Grissom Hall, the Purdue Armory, Founders Park and the Purdue Mall. • Saturday, April 15. Mothers Weekend arts and crafts sale. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Purdue Memorial Union ballrooms and first-floor lounges. Sponsored by the Student Union Board. • Saturday-Sunday, April 15-16. Springfest, Bug Bowl and Mothers Weekend. There will be a variety of events each day across the south campus. For details, check the online news release. ** • Saturday, April 22. The Purdue Alumni Association has planned reunions, entertainment and activities for alumni who return for the university's annual Gala Week celebration. Grand Prix go-kart race. 3 p.m. Grand Prix Track north of Ross-Ade Stadium. Tickets cost $5 in advance and $6 at the gate. Grand Prix Foundation members are selling advance tickets in Room G2, Stewart Center. There will be no Grand Prix carnival of amusement rides and midway attractions this year. Revenues that would have come from the carnival will be replaced by a portion of the concession sales from the football team's Gold and Black scrimmage at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Ross-Ade Stadium.
