April 3, 2000 Tommy Flanagan Trio concert cancelled due to illnessWEST LAFAYETTE, IND -- Purdue Convocations announced today (Monday, 4/3) the cancellation of the concert by the Tommy Flanagan Trio Friday, April 7 at Loeb Playhouse. Mr. Flanagan fell ill while on tour and was advised by his doctor to cancel all remaining performances on the tour, according to Jon Poses, Mr. Flanagan's tour agent. "We are deeply concerned for Tommy's health," Don Seybold, associate director of Purdue Convocations said. "We wish him a strong and speedy recovery in the company of family and friends. Convos staff members will be attempting to reach as many ticket holders as possible by phone to alert them to the cancellation." Ticket holders may receive a refund by returning the tickets to the box office either in person or by mail. The actual tickets must be turned in for a refund to be issued. All refunds will be in the form of a check from Purdue University and will be delivered by mail. Jazz Set series ticket holders may also receive a refund for the value of their tickets or may opt to receive a tax credit. The box office is located in the lobby of Stewart Center and is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The mailing address for refunds is Loeb Box Office, Attn: Flanagan Refund, Stewart Center, West Lafayette, IN 47907.
