Updated travel directions around road construction zones near campus are available on the Web. EVENTS Tuesday, March 28. Indiana Court of Appeals oral argument. 1:30 p.m. Room 310, Stewart Center. Free and open to the public, but seating is limited to 50 people. The case involves a preliminary injunction from the Hancock County Circuit Court restraining a person from speaking on certain matters. Sponsored by the Department of Communications. ** Friday, March 31. Emerging Technology Forum Day. 9-11:15 a.m. Fowler Hall, Stewart Center. Industry speakers, faculty and panels address bringing emerging technologies from mind to market. Sponsored by the Krannert Graduate School of Management. ** Saturday-Sunday, April 8-9. 19th annual Holocaust Remembrance Conference. Theme is "Our Town Overcoming Prejudice." Many sessions are held on campus in the Class of 1950 Lecture Hall. A full schedule of events is available in an online news release. ** Saturday. April 8. 12th Annual National Rube Goldberg Machine Contest. 11 a.m.. Elliott Hall of Music. Teams from Purdue and six other colleges and universities demonstrate the complicated and humorous machines they built to place seven of the 20th century's greatest inventions in a time capsule. Each machine must use 20 or more steps and complete the operation in less than nine minutes. Monday, April 10. Women in Engineering Career Day. This daylong event, sponsored by Purdue's Schools of Engineering and the Society of Women Engineers, is open to any young woman in her junior year of high school, as well as their parents and teachers. The cost is $10 per person, which includes lunch. Amy Ross, a space suit project engineer with NASA who earned bachelor's and masters degrees in mechanical engineering from Purdue, will deliver the keynote speech. A campus clean-up day sponsored by Purdue Student Government.
