High school theater workshop planned

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – High school students will have the opportunity to work with seasoned theater professionals Saturday, Nov. 13, during a free High School Workshop Day at Purdue University.

The event is presented by Purdue Theatre, and reservations are due by Monday, Nov. 1.

From 9:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., faculty from Purdue's theater division will present acting, stage management, and production, design and technology workshops at Stewart Center on the West Lafayette campus. Workshop titles include: "Auditions: The Art of Selling Yourself in Less Than Five Minutes," "Shakespeare Made Easy," and "Living in Someone Else's Clothes."

As an added bonus, students who participate in the workshops are invited to attend the Mainstage production of "The Gut Girls" at 8 p.m. that evening as guests of Purdue Theatre.
