Health fair set at Black Cultural CenterWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue's Black Cultural Center will be the site of a health fair at 3 p.m. Thursday (9/23)."It's Your Life" will be conducted in Multipurpose Room 2 of the Black Cultural Center. Donna Hall, Black Cultural Center facility and program service supervisor, said the workshop is for individuals who want to learn more about health care and how they can take a more active role in their health. Presenters will test for sickle-cell anemia, diabetes and hypercholesterolemia. Participating organizations include the Minority Health Care Coalition of Tippecanoe County, Martin Center of Indianapolis, and Planned Parenthood of Central and Southern Indiana. Fair sponsors include the Purdue Student National Pharmaceutical Association, the Black Cultural Center, Delta Sigma Theta sorority and the Minority Health Care Coalition.
