Saroyan had a Purdue time in his lifePurdue Theatre presents William Saroyan's Pulitzer Prize-winning play "The Time of Your Life" Sept. 23-Oct. 3 in the Experimental Theatre. More than three decades ago, in the fall of 1961, Saroyan spent a semester on Purdue's campus as Artist-in-Residence with Purdue Playshop. He taught a course on play writing and, in December of that year, Playshop presented the world premiere of "High Time Along the Wabash," a play that Saroyan wrote and directed for Playshop. Saturday, Sept. 25.Dedication of the $1.5 million Holleman-Niswonger Simulator Center at the Purdue University Airport. 9 a.m. The flight simulator center is the home for two 727 simulators and six Frasca flight training devices. The building was made possible by a gift from Scott M. Niswonger, Aviation Technology class of 1968, to honor Professor Charles F. Thursday, Sept. 30.William Boeing Memorial Lecture. 4 p.m. Fowler Hall, Stewart Center. Speaker: Michael M. Sears, senior vice president of the Boeing Co. and president of its military aircraft and missile systems group. This is the first speaker in what will be an annual lecture series administered by the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
