Purdue offers manufacturing certification course

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue's Continuing Engineering Education Program is offering a professional review course and exam next month in the fundamentals of manufacturing.

The two-day course will provide a structured review for the manufacturing practitioner, engineer or manager who is interested in preparing for the certified manufacturing technologist examination. Course materials include a text that will serve as a useful review for the experienced manufacturing professional or as an information source and study guideline for the person just entering the field.

The course will be broadcast over the Indiana Higher Education Telecommunications System from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 11 and 12 and will originate from Room 268 in the Potter Engineering Center on the West Lafayette campus. It's being co-sponsored by the Manufacturing Engineers Certification Institute and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
