July 30, 1999 Hazardous material demonstration set Aug. 7 WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue University and the Tippecanoe County Emergency Management Agency will sponsor an open house and community demonstration at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7. The activities will be at Purdue's Laboratory Materials Storage Building at 201 Ahlers Road, south of the Wade Utility Plant. Attendees can see hazardous materials emergency response equipment and vehicles, tour Purdue's storage facilities, and observe training demonstrations. Fire and safety department personnel from Tippecanoe County, West Lafayette, Lafayette, Delphi, and Eli Lilly and Co. are scheduled to be there. Parking space is limited, and reservations for tours are recommended.
