Police investigating additional voyeurism reportsWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue University police received two additional reports of voyeurism Tuesday (6/22) evening, similar to a case reported Monday evening.Deputy Chief James E. Roush said both new incidents occurred in Hawkins Graduate House, one Monday, the other Tuesday. The initial case was reported in Young Graduate House. A woman resident in Hawkins told police late Tuesday evening that her towel and clothes were missing from a shower area about 7 p.m. Monday, and she discovered a man in the restroom area. A similar incident occurred about 7:15 p.m. Monday in Young Graduate House. Just after 9 p.m. Tuesday, a Hawkins resident told police she was sitting in a study lounge when a man entered, asked the whereabouts of a woman, exposed himself, then walked out. The woman described the white male as in his mid-20s, about 6 feet tall with brown hair and glasses. She said he was wearing women's underwear. The description is similar to that provided by the other woman, who also noted that he had blue eyes, wire-framed glasses, a white streak in his short brown hair, and was wearing a black T-shirt and white sneakers. Roush said officers searched several floors of both buildings after the reports were received, but no suspects were located. Persons with any information about the cases are asked to call Purdue police at (765) 494-8221.
