Garages set for repairs, cleaning; new lots plannedWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Parking garages at Purdue University will be closed at various times over the spring and summer for annual cleaning and repair work.Signs will be posted in the garages two weeks before each closing, said Donna Kemper, manager of parking facilities. She said vehicles left in garages after the closing dates will be towed at owners' expense. Here is the schedule:
Kemper also said motorists will have two new parking lot options available when the 1999-2000 academic year begins in August. A 100-space lot north of Freehafer Hall and an 80-space lot at Third and University streets will be built over the summer. Most of the spaces in the lots will be for "A" parking permits.
