    ** Friday, May 14. ROTC Tri-Commissioning Ceremony for the 25 graduates of Purdue's Army, Navy and Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps programs. 11 a.m. South Ballroom, Purdue Memorial Union. Speaker will be Maj. Gen. Richard E. Brown III, a highly decorated combat pilot and current director of joint matters for the Deputy Chief of Staff for Air and Space Operation.

  • Friday, May 14. 6 p.m. Technology Statewide Commencement for Richmond. Richmond High School.

  • Saturday-Sunday, May 15-16. Spring Commencement at West Lafayette. 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. each day. Elliott Hall of Music. Tickets necessary for admission. Four tickets are issued free to each candidate for a degree.
    -- 9:30 a.m. Saturday ceremony is for Schools of Agriculture and Liberal Arts.
    -- 2:30 p.m. Saturday ceremony is for Schools of Management and Technology.
    -- 9:30 a.m. Sunday ceremony is for Schools of Engineering and Veterinary Medicine.

  • Saturday, May 22. Purdue Employment Expo, "Working to Be Your Employer of Choice." 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Intercollegiate Athletic Facility. Job-seekers can complete an employment application, take clerical testing, apply for specific jobs and talk to hiring supervisors.

  • Sunday, May 23. 1:30 p.m. Purdue Calumet commencement. North Lawshe Lawn, Hammond.

  • Sunday-Friday, May 23-28. 10th International Soil Conservation Organization Conference: "Sustaining the Global Farm, Local Action for Land Stewardship." Registration is $250.   • Saturday, May 15. Glee Club End of Season Concert. 8:30 p.m. Loeb Playhouse, Stewart Center. The Black Voices of Inspiration from the Black Cultural Center joins Purdue Musical Organizations' Glee Club in this preview of the "Voices of America" show the two groups will take on a tour of Australia, New Zealand and Fiji starting May 18.     LECTURES

  • Tuesday, May 4. Professional Development Schools seminar. 4 p.m. Radisson Inn (State Road 26 and Interstate 65). Topic: "An Update on Indiana's Redesign of the Preparation and Licensure of Education Professionals." Speaker: Marilyn Scannell, executive director of the Indiana Professional Standards Board.
