Purdue education majors to rehab playgroundPainting the pavilion, scrubbing down playground equipment and planting trees are on the agenda for members of the Purdue Student Education Association as they participate in Lafayette's Operation Clean Sweep on Saturday, April 10.About a dozen education majors will spend the day, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., making the playground at South Tipp Park (behind the Community and Family Resource Center, 330 Fountain St., Lafayette), a prettier place for kids to play. "We try to do things around the community to help the children," said association spokeswoman Kate Criner. "We want to show that we are good role models and that we will be good teachers someday."
