Lady Boiler pride posters available

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- A free Purdue women's basketball spirit poster will be available beginning today (Friday, 2/26) to commemorate the Lady Boilermakers' record-breaking season under head coach Carolyn Peck as the Big Ten Tournament begins this weekend at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis.

The 11-inch-by-17-inch black and gold posters read "Boilers All the Way to San Jose" -- a reference to the 1999 NCAA final-four women's basketball tournament -- and feature a Purdue train logo.

"It's our way of celebrating the magical 1998-99 season put together by the women's team," said David Brannan, director of Purdue's Office of Publications. His office designed the poster, which is sponsored by the Office of University Relations and the Athletic Public Relations Office. The Lady Boilermakers are currently 25-1 overall, 16-0 in Big Ten play.

A limited number of the free posters will be available to fans from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at these campus locations: Mackey Arena; the Visitor and Information Center, 504 Northwestern Ave.; the Office of Publications, South Campus Courts-D; and the Alumni Association office, Memorial Union.
