Purdue answers college questions around the stateWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue University's Office of Admissions takes to the road this spring, visiting 11 Indiana cities as part of the Indiana Association for College Admission Counseling's 1999 Spring College Fairs. At the fairs, high-school students can ask questions about admissions requirements, tuition fees and other costs, how to go about the college application process, how to find out about financial aid and scholarships, the best time for campus visits, and what summer programs/camps are available to allow high-school students a sneak peek at the college experience. "It's important for high-school juniors, and even sophomores, to start thinking now about what majors are offered and what requirements must be met to attend Purdue or another university," said Douglas Christiansen, director of admissions. "If a student knows this information ahead of time, he or she can make sure to satisfy the admissions requirements while they're in high school." The college fairs are open to 10th-, 11th- and 12th-graders and their parents. No registration is required. Purdue representatives will be available at these fairs:
