Purdue police seek missing manWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue University police are seeking information on the whereabouts of a Chesterton man, last seen on the West Lafayette campus Tuesday (1/19).His disappearance was reported to police early today (Friday, 1/22). Jason M. Mayes, 19, left a Ross-Ade Drive apartment where he had been visiting at 10 a.m. Tuesday and has not been seen since. He was driving a beige 1987 four-door Chevrolet Cavalier with a damaged front grill and Indiana license plate 64W1397, said Purdue Police Sgt. Peter Wislocki. Mayes, who has no Purdue affiliation, had been visiting friends on campus since Monday (1/18). He is described as white, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 135 pounds with crew-cut blonde hair.
