Children may register for Super Saturday courses

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue University's Gifted Education Resource Institute is registering children ages 5 to 14 for the spring Super Saturday program.

Program director David Ehle said the high-level, fast-paced enrichment courses are designed for able learners. Courses will be offered on campus from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on nine Saturday's from Feb. 20 to May 1. Classes will not be held March 20 and April 3.

The spring program features classes such as Creepy Crawlers for kindergartners and first-graders; What's Up for first- and second-graders; Animal Kingdom for second- and third-graders; Story Adventures for third- and fourth-graders; and Physics and Drawing and Painting for fifth- through seventh-graders. In all, more than 30 courses will be offered.
