Appointments and promotions-- Professor Gordon L. Coppoc has been named assistant dean and director of the Lafayette Center for Medical Education. He became acting director last April following the retirement of Lindley Wagner, who held the post for more than 27 years. The Lafayette Center for Medical Education on the Purdue campus is a regional medical education center for first- and second-year students who later transfer to the main campus of the Indiana University School of Medicine. Coppoc is a professor of basic medical sciences and former head of the Department of Basic Medical Sciences in the School of Veterinary Medicine.
Campus activities-- The Purdue Student Union Board will sponsor an arts and crafts show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 17, on the first and second floors of the Purdue Memorial Union. The event is being conducted as part of Mother's Weekend activities. Exhibitors need not have any connection to Purdue. For information about exhibiting, call (765) 494-8976.
