Purdue hotline will offer bowl tickets, infoWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- When details of the Purdue University football team's postseason bowl appearance are firm, Boilermaker fans will be a phone call away from all ticket, tour and game information. The long-distance toll-free number is 800-927-4177. Greater Lafayette fans should call 496-6300. The Boilermaker Football Bowl Hotline will be activated, once Purdue's bowl plans are set, as a one-stop source for ordering tickets through the Athletic Ticket Office or reserving space on official tours or a possible game-day package offered by the Purdue Alumni Association. A voice-mail prompt will link callers to either the ticket office, alumni association, or Athletic Public Relations. "Because of the excitement and enthusiasm leading up to Purdue's 1997 Alamo Bowl appearance, we know that thousands of Boilermaker fans this season will be purchasing game tickets, reserving space on the official tours or simply seeking information on the game," said Joseph L. Bennett, vice president for university relations. "The hotline is a way to help streamline the process." Official bowl invitations will be extended Sunday, Dec. 6. Up-to-the-minute information on Purdue's bowl appearance also will be available on-line via the Purdue Home Page, the official Purdue Athletics Web site, or the Purdue Alumni Association web site.
