Purdue changes films in Cinema Now presentationWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Tomorrow's (Friday, 11/6) Cinema Now film at Purdue University has been changed from "Will It Snow for Christmas?" to another recent French film: "Seventh Heaven" directed by Benoit Jacquot. The screening will be at 7:30 p.m. in Fowler Hall, Stewart Center. "Seventh Heaven" is the new film from Jacquot, whose "A Single Girl" was judged "brilliant" by New York Magazine's David Denby. In "Seventh Heaven" Jacquot shows a deep understanding of marital power dynamics -- the funny, poignant, romantic dance of two lovers growing in different directions, each at a different pace, in order to rediscover each other. The film came out in 1998 and is 91 minutes long. Purdue Convocations sponsors the Cinema Now film series for Purdue students, faculty and staff. Tickets are $4 for faculty and staff, $3 for Purdue students.
