'Forum' performance time pushed back by technical demandsWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Because of technical demands of the production load-in, the Sunday (10/25) performance of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" at Purdue University will begin at 3:30 p.m. instead of 3 p.m. as previously announced. The Broadway hit revival, starring classic comedian Rip Taylor, is presented by Purdue Convocations and Lectures and is supported in part by Insight Communications. "As much as we regret having to push back the show time, the additional half hour of load-in and sound check time will ensure the highest quality performance for our audiences," said Convocations Director Lorna Myers. A preshow luncheon featuring light commentary on the musical by Dick Jaeger and Karl Brandt will be held in the North Ballroom of Purdue Memorial Union at 12:30 p.m. The time for the luncheon has not changed from previous announcements. Tickets for the luncheon are $10.50, and reservations will be accepted until noon Wednesday (10/21). Tickets to the Oct. 25 performance at 3:30 p.m. in Elliott Hall of Music are $28, $24 and $14 for the public, $18 and $14 for Purdue students. Charge by phone at (765)494-3933 or 1-800-914-SHOW.
