October 16, 1998 Hafele-Stinson Scholarships awarded to freshmen Three Purdue freshmen have received Hafele-Stinson Scholarships. Mr. and Mrs. Marion F. Hafele established four $1,000 scholarships for incoming freshmen who are residents of Perry County: the Hafele-Stinson Purdue University Scholarship; the Hafele-Stinson Purdue Agricultural Scholarship; the Hafele-Stinson Purdue Consumer and Family Sciences Scholarship; and the Hafele-Stinson Purdue Engineering Scholarship. The 1998-99 recipients are: Jerene Marie Kunkler, Tell City, agricultural scholarship. Scott Harrod Hubbard, Tell City, engineering scholarship. Sara Beth Rothgerber, Tell City, university scholarship. The Consumer and Family Sciences Scholarship was not awarded this year because no Perry County resident had enrolled as an incoming freshman in the School of Consumer and Family Sciences at the time the selection was made.
