Tickets for 65th Purdue Christmas Show on saleWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Tickets for the 65th Anniversary Purdue Musical Organizations Christmas Show are now on sale."The PMO Christmas Show is truly magical, full of spectacle, glitter and the true Christmas spirit," said Brian Breed, director of Purdue Musical Organizations. "It has come to symbolize the holiday season at Purdue University." The show will be presented six times in three days in Elliott Hall of Music:
Ticket prices are $21, $16 and $10, depending on the location in the hall. Tickets can be purchased at Purdue box offices, (765) 494-3933 or 800-914-SHOW, or from Purdue Musical Organizations at (765) 494-3941 or 1-800-893-3041. Late last year the American Bus Association named the Christmas Show one of the Top 100 events in North America for 1998. Thousands of people from throughout the Midwest visit campus annually for the show. In addition to the regional audience of 36,000 people who see the show live, millions of people see it on public television stations from coast to coast. More than one million people have seen the PMO Christmas Show since its debut in 1933. This year PMO will celebrate the show's 65th anniversary with a holiday homecoming featuring the PMO stars of the past and more than 250 Purdue student performers. The Purdue Varsity Glee Club, Purduettes, University Choir, PMO Express, PMO Kids Choir and the Purdue Bell Choir will offer a variety of seasonal favorites to ring in the holiday season. This will be Breed's 10th consecutive year directing the show.
