Engineers prepare for huge career fairPurdue engineering students will hold the nation's largest student-run job fair from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday (9/16) on the Memorial Mall (rain location: Purdue Armory). More than 8,000 students are expected to attend the event, with 280 companies represented. The job fair is the highlight of the 19th Annual Purdue Industrial Roundtable, a two-day event that also features companies giving seminars for engineering students all day Tuesday (9/15) in Stewart Center. ISTEP+ testing need not be stressfulHoosier school children will begin taking the Indiana StatewideTesting for Educational Progress-Plus standardized test this month, and there are several things parents can do to make sure their children are prepared to perform at their optimum level. Julie A. Frazier, an assistant professor in child development and family studies, can offer advice on getting young students, especially those in the lower grades, to feel confident about the testing process. Tuesday, Sept. 22.Career Day in the Department of Restaurant, Hotel, Institutional and Tourism Management. A hospitality industry career fair will be held from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in the South Ballroom, Purdue Memorial Union. Two industry leaders will speak on the future of the hospitality industry.
