Purdue Theatre presents Harold Pinter's 'The Birthday Party'

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue Theatre concludes its 90th anniversary Mainstage Season with Harold Pinter's "The Birthday Party," a comedy about the fear and tension of everyday life.

It will be presented on The Experimental Theatre stage in Stewart Center at 8 p.m. April 16-25. A matinee will be offered at 2:30 p.m. April 25, and the final performance will be at 6 p.m. April 26. Sneak previews will be offered at 7:30 p.m. April 14 and 15.

The show is directed by Robert Knopf, visiting assistant professor of visual and performing arts. Lead roles will be played by Andrew Persinger, a senior in the School of Liberal Arts from Anderson, Ind ., and Joe Rux, a graduate student in the Professional Actor Training Program from Rockford, Minn.
