Clint Black burst onto the music scene in 1989 with a record-breaking five consecutive No. 1 singles and a Country Music Association Horizon Award. With a string of million-selling albums and more than 20 top-10 hits to his credit, Black is one of the most popular entertainers in the country music industry today.
Opening the show for Black are 34-year-old Louisiana native Trace Adkins and the sister duo The Kinleys.
The Tibetan Monks from Drepung Loseling Monastery will perform at Purdue as part of their international tour of "Sacred Music and Sacred Dance for World Healing." The performance, which is sponsored by Richard Gere Productions and the Loseling Institute with the blessings of the Dalai Lama, features multiphonic singing, traditional long horns, trumpets, drums, bells and brightly colored costumes.
