Friends and colleagues of Tadesse Mulatu, 32, will gather at 5:30 p.m. in University Church, 320 North St., West Lafayette. The service will be followed by a reception in the Poe Center of the church, said Michael Brzezinski, director of the Office of International Students and Scholars. The service has been organized by the International Center, University Church, the Office of International Students and Scholars, and Mulatu's faculty, staff and student colleagues.
Flowers may be sent directly to the church.
Mulatu was a graduate student in agronomy from Ethiopia. His body was discovered Jan. 20 in the room he occupied at the International Center. The cause of death is still unknown. Autopsy results were inconclusive, and toxicology test results are still pending. Purdue police said there was no indication of foul play.
