Jan. 13-16: Certified Crop adviser Workshop
This workshop will include sessions on disease, insect, weed and herbicide management. All sessions are open to the public, but they will be especially helpful for those preparing for the Certified Crop Adviser exam in February. Registration fee is $400, plus a $6 parking fee for visitors not staying at the Union Club Hotel. The fee includes all lunches during workshop days. Jan. 21-23: Purdue Ag Forum
The annual forum invites Indiana business leaders, professors and policymakers to attend sessions focusing on agriculture, education, technology and economics. The three-day event is titled "A 2020 Vision of Rural Indiana." Daytime sessions for the Ag Forum cost $15 for one day or $25 for two days, and preregistration through Purdue's Continuing Education Department is encouraged. Evening events are free. Jan. 23: Ag Fish Fry
The annual Ag Fish Fry begins at 11:30 a.m. with the theme, "We're Off ... To See The Wizard," with Fish-Fry variations on the characters from "The Wizard of Oz." Entertainment will be provided by the Purdue Pep Band and Purdue Musical Organizations. Certificates of Distinction will be awarded to honorees selected for their service to agriculture. Fish Fry tickets are $12 each and available only in advance at all Purdue Cooperative Extension Service county offices in Indiana or through the Ag Alumni Association office, (765) 494-8593. Group discounts are offered for parties of 10 or more.
Jan. 26-30: Crop Management Workshops
The Purdue Pest Management Program will hold a series of Crop Management Workshops at five locations throughout Indiana. Participants will discuss topics such as insect and insecticide considerations, a review and update of pesticide regulations, variable corn establishment and grain production, and pest and nutrient management planning. Registration is $40 per person, and preregistration is encouraged. The fee does not include lunch. The workshops will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on these days:

Jan. 27-28: Indiana Horticultural congress
The congress includes two days of educational sessions devoted to growers interested in commercial fruit, vegetables and specialty crops. There also will be a trade show. The congress will be at the Adam's Mark Hotel in Indianapolis. Registration is $25 for members of groups sponsoring the congress, and $35 for nonmembers. Registration must be completed by Jan. 15.
