Comedian Adam Sandler to perform Nov. 10 at Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Adam Sandler, a comedian, actor and singer who first gained fame on TV's "Saturday Night Live," will bring his music-filled stand-up routine to Purdue University at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, in the Elliott Hall of Music. The performance is presented by the Purdue Student Concert Committee.

Sandler will perform material from his new album "What's Your Name," which includes "The Goat Song," "The Lonesome Kicker," "Bad Boyfriend," and "Corduroy Blues." Sandler's previous two albums, "They're All Gonna Laugh at You!" and "What the Hell Happened to Me?" were both nominated for Grammys.

Ticket-buying times will be assigned to students over the Student Services Information On-line service (SSINFO) from Sunday, Oct. 19, through Tuesday, Oct. 21. Ticket-buying times will be assigned to faculty and staff at Elliott Hall of Music lobby from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20.

Tickets, at $15, $12 and $10, go on sale to students, faculty and staff with assigned buying times beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at the Elliott Hall box offices. They also go on sale to the public that day at Ticketmaster outlets.

If the show does not sell out on Oct. 23, tickets for the public will be available at Purdue box offices beginning Friday, Oct. 24.
