Purdue police looking for exhibitionist

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Purdue University police are looking for a man who reportedly exposed himself to a woman near Married Student Housing at about 3:15 Tuesday (10/7).

Purdue Police Lt. John C. Dorroll said the woman reported that an Hispanic-looking male age 22 to 25, who had long black hair and was wearing a baseball cap and T-shirt, called her over to his car at Nimitz Drive and Gates Street. When she approached the car, a black two-door Chevrolet with a Tippecanoe County license plate, she saw that he was masturbating. He then drove off heading north on Gates, and she called 911.

Purdue police have notified area police agencies and have contacted the Lafayette Police Department to determine if there is any relationship to similar cases pending there. This case, however, does not appear related to recent reports of a man exposing himself to children in Lafayette, Dorroll said.
