The show begins at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, in the Elliott Hall of Music. Dog's Eye View will open the concert, which is presented by the Purdue Student Concert Committee in cooperation with Jam Productions.
Oct. 18 also is the date of Purdue's homecoming football game against Wisconsin.
Tickets, at $22.50, are on sale at campus box offices, by phone at (765) 494-3933, or at Ticketmaster locations.
Counting Crows -- Adam Duritz, lead vocals and piano; David Bryson, guitar and vocals; Dan Vickrey, guitar and vocals; Charles Grilling, keyboards and vocals; Matt Malley, bass and vocals; and Ben Mize, drums and vocals -- gained notoriety with its multi-platinum debut album, "August and Everything After," which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 album chart in April 1994. The band's second album, "Recovering the Satellites," was released in October 1996.
